OC Aviation was founded by Ozkan Cengiz, an Aeronautical Engineer with more than two decades of international experience in aircraft maintenance engineering and technical aviation services. His career spans exposure across 50+ countries, aircraft project execution in 20+ countries, and engineering, maintenance coordination, technical services, and project management experience across Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, ATR, and Bombardier aircraft platforms.

About Ozkan Cengiz

Ozkan Cengiz is an Aeronautical Engineer with more than two decades of international experience in aircraft maintenance engineering, technical services, and aviation project support. His professional background covers aircraft technical services, Part-145 maintenance environments, delivery and redelivery projects, pre-purchase inspections, maintenance planning, technical records review, regulatory compliance, and client-facing engineering support.

Over the course of his career, he has been present in more than 50 countries and has executed aircraft-related projects in over 20 of them, gaining hands-on experience across highly diverse aviation markets and cultures, including the USA, Europe, Türkiye, Russia, China, Mexico, the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, the UK, Malaysia, and Singapore.

His experience also spans a wide range of commercial, regional, and business aircraft platforms from an engineering, maintenance coordination, technical services, and project management perspective. These include Airbus A300 / A300-600, A320 Family and A330; Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767 and 777; McDonnell Douglas MD-83 and MD-88; ATR 72; and Bombardier Global XRS aircraft.

This broad exposure allows him to approach aviation challenges not only from a technical engineering perspective, but also with a practical understanding of operational, commercial, regulatory, and cross-cultural requirements.

Founder's Message

After more than two decades in aircraft maintenance engineering, technical aviation services, and international aircraft project support, I established OC Aviation in Johannesburg with a clear purpose: to bring experienced, practical, and trustworthy aviation technical support to the African market.

Throughout my career, I executed aircraft maintenance projects in more than 20 countries, working across diverse operational environments, technical cultures, and business expectations. My experience covers engineering, maintenance coordination, technical services, and project management support across Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, ATR, and Bombardier aircraft platforms.

Africa has significant aviation potential. As the industry continues to grow, the need for reliable aircraft technical judgment, maintenance awareness, compliance understanding, and professional engineering support will become even more important.

My goal is to support this growth by helping operators, investors, maintenance organizations, training institutions, and aviation professionals make better decisions, strengthen technical foundations, and contribute to a safer, more capable, and more sustainable aviation ecosystem in Africa.
